If you didn’t contract directly with the property owner, a Notice of Intent is required and must be served to both the property owner and the general contractor.

If you’ve provided work or materials in Connecticut and haven’t been paid, the Connecticut Mechanic’s Lien Law (Conn. Gen. Stat. §49-33) allows you to secure what you’re owed by filing a lien against the property where the work was performed.
